Public Educator of the Year

This award recognizes a member for outstanding achievement and dedication in the area of Public Fire & Life Safety Education.  They are recognized and nominated by their peers. 

To be eligible, nominees must be active members of the FPOABC and in good standing.  Nominees must be actively engaged in planning, promoting, sharing or delivering Public Fire & Life Safety Education programs within their community and the Association.

Nomination forms can be emailed to admin@fpoa.bc.ca. Deadline for nominations is April 15th at 16:00. 

Congratulations to Conrad Breakey from the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services as the recipient of the 2023 Public Educator of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Sean Lillis from the Saanich Fire Department as the recipient of the 2022 Public Educator of the Year Award.

There was no Public Educator of the Year awarded in 2021.

Congratulations to Lisa Axelson from the Chilliwack Fire Department as she is the recipient of the 2020 Public Educator of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Umesh Lal from Nanaimo Fire Rescue as he is the recipient of the 2019 Public Educator of the Year Award.  

Congratulations to Gary Proznick from Township of Langley Fire Department as he is the recipient of the 2018 Public Educator of the Year Award.  

 

Congratulations to Brian MacLeod from Richmond Fire Department as he is the recipient of the 2016 Public Educator of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Rick Euper from Kelowna Fire Department as he is the recipient of the 2015 Public Educator of the Year Award.
