Pay your Fire Prevention Officers Association 2019 Annual Dues for a Active and Associate Member. You must complete the registration form and email to admin@fpoa.bc.ca or mail to FPOABC, 12294 272 Street, Maple Ridge, BC  V2W 1C2.  Fire Departments or Groups that are registering more than five (5) Active Members, the current annual dues shall only apply to the first five members. Any subsequent members over five (5) can join the Association at no charge.

Membership Registration

Active Members of this Association shall be those public officials of Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Governments and the Assistants of such public officials, who are primarily engaged in Fire Prevention, Education, Inspections, Suppression of Fires, Fire Investigation or Local Assistants to the Fire Commissioner of the Province of British Columbia. Associate Members of this Association shall be those persons who are interested in furthering the objectives of this Association through fire safety education , teaching and the supplying of fire safety education materials, building design, property inspection and testing, listing and inspection of appliances, fixtures, construction materials and appurtenances, and through investigation into the cause and origin of fire. Honorary Life Membership "Honorary Life Membership may be conferred upon any member or other person who; (i) has exceptionally or meritoriously served the Association by some act or service or, (ii) has rendered an outstanding contribution in the fields of Fire Safety, Fire Prevention or Fire Investigation." A notice of motion for Honorary Life Membership shall be submitted in writing, outlining the merits of the motion, to the Secretary of the Association. The Secretary shall have this information before the Executive Committee at least one month prior to the Annual General Meeting. The motion shall be presented to the membership at the first Annual General Meeting following its receipt and it shall be debated and voted upon. Acceptance shall be by majority vote of the attending members. Retired Members of this Association shall be those persons who are interested in furthering the objectives of this Association and who have previously been a member in good standing in the Association.
